The Fitness Center is a full-service facility with multiple exercise options available to meet the needs of all members, from beginners to seasoned veterans.  We have a vast array of fitness equipment.

   *Helps patients with chronic medical conditions to impliment activity as part of a healthy lifestyle.
   *Program is 15 weeks long, 2x a week. Provides initial consultation, fitness assessments to determine patient’s current level of fitness and a personalized exercise prescription.
   *Program is for Sault Tribe Members or members of federally recognized tribes who are 18 years or older
   *Patients must be referred in by Sault Tribe providers.

Anishinaabeg Bimaadziwin (our Anishinaabe way of life)

 

The Language & Culture Division works to provide meaningful programming that promotes Anishinaabe Bimaadiziwin and our Anishinaabemowin language to tribal members and interested community members in order to protect and preserve the lifeways that were handed down to us by our Ancestors.
 
   *Plans, promotes, and coordinates a variety of cultural events like powwows and ceremonies.
   *Knowledgeable in traditional Anishinaabe teachings, ceremonies, language and Ojibwe crafts.
   *Runs the Niigaanagiizhik Building which is used for traditional funerals, fundraisers, birthday parties, and baby showers.
   *Runs the Mary Murray Cultural Camp on Sugar Island. It’s used for language camps fasting camps and several other traditional camps.
